When your dog goes missing, you have to cover as much ground as you can in the fastest time possible. So, when Coco the super cute Lagotto went missing from her home in the Adelaide Hills, we knew we needed to build an army of people quickly to help find her.
Through the detailed targeting of social media, we were able to strategically execute a holistic campaign that encompassed both print and digital media to build awareness, community engagement with strong call to actions.
We know Facebook advertising is a powerful way to reach a large number of people in specific locations quickly so without delay, we launched a highly targeted Facebook advertising campaign to bring Coco home.
While Coco's devastated owners, their friends and family scoured the Adelaide Hills to find Coco, we were targeting ads to the exact locations Coco had been sighted or could have been.
Thousands of comments and shares flooded in with well wishes and tip offs. Within 24 hours, the post had reached a whopping 200,000 people (through paid and organic). In fact, people were driving from all corners of Adelaide to help Andrea find Coco.
28 hours later, Coco was found by a lovely couple in Stirling.
Over the course of the 28 hour campaign, the ads reached more than 289,000 people. This is a phenomenal number of individuals considering the total paid digital spend was just $250.00.
Advertising online is a great way to provide highly targeted content to the people who need to see it. By targeting key towns such as Hahndorf, Stirling, Crafers, Crafers West, Ironbank and Mount Barker, we were able to mobilise a digital army. The reach and potential of social media really is limitless.
We're so pleased to have played a small role in bringing Coco home and couldn't resist sharing the good news with you all!
